Washing & caring for headwear: keep the logo and the fabric
🧺 4 min readUpdated 2026-02
The care rules that matter
- Wash at 30°C for branded kit; 40°C for workwear that's properly dirty.
- Turn garments inside out so the logo faces in.
- Line dry where you can — tumble drying is the single biggest killer of print.
What the logo needs
Embroidery on headwear can take the wash; print needs the gentler cycle. Never iron directly on a vinyl transfer, and keep hi-vis away from fabric softener, which dims the reflective finish.
Garments to put the care rules on
- adidas® 6-panel core cap from £15.50
- adidas® Golf performance crested cap from £16.50
- Beechfield 5-panel contrast snapback from £8.50
- Beechfield 5-panel snapback rapper cap from £8.50
The golden rule
When in doubt, wash cold, inside out, and air dry. Your branded kit will still look new when the cheap gear has given up.
